Is PTFE architecture membrane easy to install?2022-05-30T02:17:04+00:00

Its curve may change randomly according to the design of architect, under the sunshine, the building covered by the membrane is filled with natural diffused light inside, without the difference between the positive light side with strong contrast and the shadow.

What is the difference between PVC membrane and PTFE membrane?2022-05-30T02:16:26+00:00

PTFE membrane has double tensile strength than PVC, better transparency, longer lifetime and PTFE has self-cleaning property.

What is the lifetime of PTFE architectural membrane?2022-05-30T02:15:36+00:00

Longer than 25 years.

Is the strength of this membrane higher than steel please?2022-05-30T02:15:03+00:00

Yes, the membrane is made of fiberglass cloth called β fiberglass which not only has higher intensity than steel at the same diameter, superior heat resistance(700~800°C), but also un-affected by low temperature and ultraviolet.

What is the max operating temperature for PTFE conveyor belts?2022-05-30T02:13:51+00:00

Our belt can be long time working under temperature of 260°C and max temperature to 360°C.

What is the minimum width available of your PTFE tapes?2022-05-30T02:06:42+00:00

Minimum width of the tapes can be 2mm.

How do I apply a new tape?2022-05-30T02:05:59+00:00

We recommend you to use a alcohol based cleaner (non oil based solvent) to wipe clean the working area. Limit touching the adhesive with your fingers, it may affect the adhesion of heat resistant PTFE tape.

What adhesive system do you apply on your tapes?2022-05-30T02:05:25+00:00

We provide a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive for operating temperatures up to 260℃. We also offer an acrylic adhesive system for operating temperatures up to 177℃. The acrylic adhesive is tackier than the silicone adhesive under a relatively lower temperature.

Mutiflon uses PTFE in the form of water-based (aqueous) dispersion to coat glass fibre cloth (usually referred to as glass cloth, or simply “glass”), Kevlar® and woven wire. This high performance substrates support the polymer additional dimension stability and mechanical strength. Only materials which stand the very high processing and application temperatures can be coated. A variety of techniques can be used in processing to improve the tear strength and resistance to creasing of the finished fabric, provide conductivity (anti-static properties), or resistance to oil and fats.
